About Ani Judaism
In 2004 Lapid Judaism International was formed by Rabbi Yitzak Yossi in Uganda. R' Yossi was trained in Hasidim for 60 years and come to Yeshua in the late 90s. R' Yossi found that the teachings of Yeshua were incredibly Hasidic in nature and that the teachings of R' Nachman of Breslov aligned perfectly with the halakhah and sayings of the Messiah Yeshua. Given that the Messianic movement had gone away from rabbinics and actual Judaism in the early 2000s he felt it was time to restore the faith of the the Messiah to the believing world, and Lapid Judaism was born.
On March 26th 2020, the international Beit Din for Lapid Judaism International got together for a vote on a name change. The reason for the name change was because of a highjacking of the name of Lapid Judaism by an individual in Texas. This individual severely harmed the good reputation of Lapid Judaism International, through his dishonest tactics to redefine Lapid Judaism. This individual had stolen thousands of dollars from people he claimed to be converting that were not backed by the official Lapid Jewish community. He also started to interject his pentecostal beliefs into the what some saw as Lapid Judaism. It caused great confusion so the Lapid Judaism Beit Din voted on the name change to Ani Judaism on March 26th 2020.
Though not everything on this website has been refreshed and changed with the new name, these changes are coming. Many blessings.
