In this week's study, the group continues on, on page 3 of book 1 of the Chronicles of the Messiah under the header "By Wisdom". A lot of questions are asked and answered in terms of what חכמה (chochmah: wisdom) is and where it comes from and how to recognize it and attain it in our lives when striving for tzedikim. Some mussar is given in terms of the functions of males and females in the Jewish home and the reason marriage is the first mitzvos mentioned and commanded in the Torah and how this relates to חכמה (wisdom). The chapters in the Chronicles of the Messiah may take several weeks to complete each chapter. This week we covered only page 2 and 3 entitled "In the Beginning". The entire chapter covers John 1:1-1:18. We discussed the Messiah in creation and what the sages say in terms of this concept.

Christopher discusses the Torah Portion Lech Lecha from the vantage point of the Zohar and the New Testament. He focuses greatly on Zohar Lech Lech 1:1-2 in terms of the internal aspect of Torah and how righteousness relies on the ideal of putting the discombobulated in order and seeking shalom as opposed to division. Christopher also discusses Zohar Lech Lecha 2:6 and Zohar Lech Lecha 2:9 in terms of the crier in the Temple in relation to Matthew 26 and the rooster mentioned and how the rooster is actually the crier of the temple and what the Zohar says in relation to the rooster signifies the spiritual immaturity Kefa possessed at that time but later matured and brought about great wisdom in his letters.

Guide to the Advanced and Intermediate Teachings
Intermediate Teachings: Most were recorded in the Jewish year 5776, these teachings focus on halakhot and cover the teachings from the Torah, Ketuvim, Nevi'im and Brit Chadasha as well as the Talmud, the words of Rebbe Nachman, the Baal Shem Tov and Chazel. In these teachings, no previous experience in the Hebrew language is required, Christopher often lets you know what the Hebrew or Aramaic words are that he mentions in the intermediate teachings. A person within 3-5 years of pursuing observance are usually able to understand these teachings.
Advanced teachings: Recorded in 5777, these teachings relate to the mystical aspects of each Torah portion and some halakhot covering the Torah, Ketuvim, Nevi'im and the Brit Chadasha as well as the Zohar and the words of kabbalist masters. In this teaching Christopher focuses on what the Zohar says about the 3 sons of Noah and their attributes displayed during Noah's drunkeness. The premise from the Zohar is the exact same premise in the New Testament and puts the verses from the New Testament into their proper context.
