![]() Several months ago I came up with the idea for the Audio Siddur Project. The idea came from helping children with autism and other learning disabilities to learn their hafTarah for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The most effective way I have found is with a musical background, putting their haftarah over music and exporting an mp3. Every time this was done the child learned their haftarah perfectly. Many who visit an Ani Jewish synagogue do not attend prayer services because they don't know Hebrew. We try and teach Hebrew at all our congregations but at times many are intimidated. So what I decided to do is to record a backing track on the guitar with the prayers read slowly and then a translation of the prayer recited afterwards so the individual can know what they are praying. The Ani Judaism Audio Siddur will be a multi-volume set, hundreds of prayers will be included, ranging from the prayers in the Siddur to prayers in every day life used when doing certain tasks. The idea is to make them easy to learn as well as giving the listener confidence in learning the prayers through repetition on there phones and mp3 players. Here is an audio sampler of the Siddur project, which the first volume will be released ink September of 2022. What was used in the recording? - A Gibson 335 Copy - Zoom G11 Acoustic Patch into the Zoom G11 - A Shure SM7B Vocal Mic - Zoom Livetrak L-8 Audio Interface and Mixer - A Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface for Headphones - Adobe Audition |
